Our lovely guide with the biggest smile welcomes you to Tanzania at the airport and drive you to the booked hotel in Moshi or Arusha.
After breakfast with spicy tea, fresh coFee, fresh fruit and freshly baked pancakes, we will need day to stretch our legs and to adapt our bodies to another world. We steer the car up to Materuni village, which is located at the foot of Kilimanjaro. We leave the car in the village and hike together with our guide who grew up here through avocado and coFee plantation to the 125m long waterfall where we eat our packed lunch-picnic. There is a chance to take a dip in the waterfall. On the way back, we stop and get to see the whole process of how loca coFee is made from bean to a cup of coFee. After that, we then go back to Moshi town for a town tour. We walk around the town with a population of 500,000 people, many come here before climbing Kilimanjaro and safari. We visit the market, drink coFee and get a feel for small towns life. We have dinner in Moshi and sleep in the same hotel.
After breakfast we start our safari and the first stop is Tarangire National Park. On the way we stop in Arusha city, a larger city full of activity. After about 2 hours we reach Tarangire, a park known for big groups of elephants and home to tree-climbing lions. There are also big beautiful baobao trees and ostriches running around. We do a game drive in the park and in the late evening we drive on to Mto wa Mbu where we have dinner and overnight.
After breakfast, we pack up our things and drive towards the iconic and well-known Serengeti via the Ngorongoro highlands. Today we do not go down into the Ngorongoro crater but just transit. It is a very beautiful journey through the park. We see many Maasai, elephants and giraFes and more along the way, because we are inside the national park. When we reach the entrance to the Serengeti, Naabi Hill gate, we stop for lunch. Then we drive calmly into the Serengeti and immediately enjoy the endless planes of Serengeti . The Serengeti is well known for the big number of cats family and the great migration of up to 1.5 million animals moving towards greener areas in search of food. After a long day in the jeep, it's time to drive to the camp/Hotel for dinner and overnight.
We get up early in the morning to catch the sunrise and to be out there watching the nocturnal animals catching their last prey before day light. At around 10am we return to camp for a generous brunch before continuing our game drive for the rest of the day until the sun goes down. Dinner and overnight in the same place.
Another full day in the amazing Serengeti, we take our time so we can see more of the movements of the migration and more animals hunting their prey. Depending on where exactly we will drive to, we might bring a picnic lunch or go back to camp. We have time to stop at each sight a little extra and drive until the sun goes down. Dinner and overnight in the same place.
Today we pack up and take everything with us and slowly travel towards Ngorongoro area with game enroute. We have a packed lunch and reach Ngorongoro late in the afternoon. We have dinner at the camp with a view of the crater.
After breakfast we drive down into the crater with our lunch boxes. Here we have the chance to see our first rhinos but also lions and buFaloes. We eat our lunch box by the hippo pool. Then the game drive continues to see everything that crater has to oFer until late in the day before driving to Karatu town for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast we drive to Lake Eyasi where we will meet two diFerent tribes. Hadzabe – who are hunters and gatherers. Datoga – who is black smith. These two tribes live side by side and depend on each other. The first day we hang out with the Hadzabe, bushmen, the only way for them to survive is to hunt their prey with their handmade bows and arrows. We get to join them and hunt antelope and observe their ways. They also collect beehives full of honey. During the day we will hear them speak their language with many clicks. To end the day, we take a walk to Lake Eyasi to see the amazing sunset. Then dinner and overnight at the camp.
After this breakfast we head to the Datoga tribe, blacksmiths. We get a complete tour of how they live their lives in the village and how their crafts are made. Here is a chance to buy a memory. Dinner and overnight at the camp
After breakfast, we drive into the park, which is one of the smallest in Tanzania, here you are welcomed by lots of baboons. Lake manyara is famous for its evalasting green. And big part of the park is covered by the lake which gave the park its name and therefore the park is green all year round. Most primates thrive here, but also giraFes, lions and elephants. We have a picnic lunch in the park and then return to Moshi/Arusha town.
Today we will drive you to the Airport and ready to connect to your next adventure in Zanzibar or flying back home.
