On arrival at Kilimanjaro, we pick you up and drive about 1 hour to Moshi/Arusha
After breakfast with spicy tea, fresh coffee, fresh fruit and freshly baked pancakes, we want a day to stretch our legs and to adapt our bodies to another world. We drive the car up to Materuni village, which is at the foot of Kilimanjaro. We leave the car in the village and hike together with our lokal guide, who grew up here, through avocado, banana and coffee forests to the 125m long waterfall where we eat our picnic lunch. Here is a chance to immerse oneself in the fall. On the way back, we stop and get to see the whole process of how to make local coffee, from bean to a cup of coffee. Then we go back to Moshi town to walk around the town which has a population of 500,000 people, many come here before climbing Kilimanjaro and safari. We visit the local market, look at shops and get a feel for town life. We have dinner in Moshi and sleep in the same hotel.
After breakfast we set ]on Safari and on the way we cross the city of Arusha, a real tourism town. Here we can buy snacks, wine and beer or anything else we wish to take on safari. After about 3 hours from Arusha, we finally arrive at Lake Manyara National park. We start with lunch and then head into the park, which is one of the smallest in Tanzania. Here you are welcomed by lots of baboons. Lake manyara is famous for its all seasons lake which gives the park its name and therefore the park stays green all year round. Most primates thrive here, but also gira?es, lions and elephants. After the game drive we go to the town of Mto wa Mbu where we have dinner and sleep at a B&B.
After breakfast we go towards Lake Natron and start by landing in our camp and having lunch. After that we take a hike to the waterfalls, which is 45 minutes from our camp, here we can also swim. When we are satisfied, we go back and rest a bit. In the evening we go to Lake Natron, which is a salt and soda lake and home to lots of flamingos. We watch the sunset and enjoy many birds but also other animals such as zebras and wildebeests. Back to the camp for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast we drive towards the Serengeti through the unique and quiet part of the national park called Kleins gate where we also eat our packed lunch. We have game drive all the way and enjoy what happens along the way. Finally we reach our camp in the central Serengeti for dinner and overnight.
We get up early to catch the sunrise and nught active animals catch their last prey before the sun is up. At around 10 o'clock we return to our camp for a generous brunch and some rest before continuing our game drive for the rest of the day until the sun goes down. Dinner and overnight in the same camp/hotel.
Today we pack up and take everything with us to slowly travel towards Ngorongoro through the Ngorongoro highlands where we ride through masaai villages and see all kinds of animals along the way. We bring a packed lunch and reach Ngorongoro late in the afternoon. We have dinner at the camp/hotel with an incredible view of the Ngorongoro crater.
After breakfast we get up early and drive down into the crater where we do a game drive and have the chance to complete our big five by seeing rhinos. We have bring lunch and we eat at the Hippo Pool. In the afternoon we continue towards Lake Eyasi the home to two di?erent tribes. Hadzabe – who are hunters and gatherers. Datoga – who are blacksmith. These two tribes live side by side and depend on each other. Late evening we go to Lake Eyasi before enjoying the sunset.
The first day we hang out with the Hadzabe, bushmen, the only way for them to survive is to hunt their prey with their handmade bows and spears. We get to follow them and hunt antelope and catch their seeds. They also collect beehives full of honey. During the day we will hear them speak their language with many clicks. After lunch we head to the Datoga tribe, blacksmiths. We get a complete tour of how they live their lives life in the village and how their crafts are done. Here we have chance to buy memories. Then after we will drive to Karatu or Mto wa mbo for dinner and overnight
After breakfast we continue our safari to Tarangire National Park. The park is well known for big groups of elephants and tree-climbing lions. There are also big beautiful baobao trees and ostriches running around. We do a game drive in the park all day and later in the evening we drive home to Arusha or Moshi town.
We're going east to find the hot springs that are hiding out in the middle of nowhere. Here you can swim and relax, we eat lunch and check out local handcrafts. The evening is spent in Moshi before departure the next day.
Today you will say goodbye to Tanzania mainland and experince something new in Zanzibar, you have the opportunity to meet another culture with a long history. There are markets to see, fish, seafood, handicrafts, fruit and spices and lots of good food to eat. When you land, you will be picked up by our driver to your hotel in Stonetown. After some rest, we take a tour with a guide through the narrow alleys and busy streets. Later we visit the famous market Forodhani and the history of slave trade by Arabs.
After breakfast, our driver will take you to the village of Fumba where we will hop on a larger handmade boat called a dhow. We go out into the blue sea and visit several different sandbanks. After an hour or so, we stop at a beach and eat fantastic seafood. We snorkel from the boat and return in the afternoon to Fumba village and then back to Stonetown for dinner with a wonderful sunset view.
Today we go even further south to Kizimkazi village to enjoy the beach and snorkel. If you want, there is a chance to accompany a boat out to see dolphins. When we feel satisfied, our driver drives us all the way to the northernmost part of Zanzibar, the beautiful place of Nungwi. It takes about 2 hours (99 km) and we pass forests, fields and villages all along the way. We land at the hotel, have dinner by the beach and watch the unbeatable sunset.
On this day you should do what you feel like. Walk along the beautiful beach, discover good food and drink, look at shells and swim. A day for reflection and rest.
We start our day with a half-day trip to the small, beautiful island of Mnemba. The island is known for its white sand, colorful tropical fish and clear water. We snorkel and have lunch before returning to the hotel for more relaxation, dinner and overnight.
